As of August 8th of 2017 I will no longer be doing original art as Dirk Strangely. The World of Strangely brand will continue to stay in print and publishing. I will still have booths at shows and conventions and I will be licensing my characters and properties for all kinds of merchandising, TV, and movies.

 

After August 8th of 2017 all original art that I create will be under my birth name, which you will then discover. I've made a pretty big mark in this world under the Strangely name and now it's time to continue my legacy under my birth name. My art has been evolving and improving as I seek out more information and more education on how to better my creative craft, so my art will not change but will only become better as it has been. It is my life goal to continue to evolve as an artist and a human in a world that needs more love and more beauty.

 

I have started a company that will soon launch, and will help all creative people make a good living from their craft and learn to grow as the true artists they are. I will be running the company as CEO and I will be here to teach Artists a clear and concise path that will help evolve their creative needs into something larger than any single one of us could ever do: the opportunity to be an artist and make a good living while staying true to your passion and overall maintaining a healthy and happy professional work environment. I've been a working professional artist for over 10 years now and have made a living solely from my art.

 

There's a lack of structure and certainty available to a lot of people who are creative but have no sense of business or structure. Us artists are emotional and highly creative people who are sometimes looked at as weirdos or dysfunctional people, and sometimes they're right. It doesn't have to be that way if you recognize that the person is being ruled by a different way of thinking and feeling. Artists need to be creatively productive or we feel like we are dying inside.

 

Some times if you stick the right artist personality type into a 9-5 job they hate their life and it will literally cause psychological disorders because they feel like they aren't living the way they’re supposed to. Imagine if all you were made up of is creative intelligence but you worked in a factory that makes plastic bottles. It would kill your spirit. Some of you will think this sounds weird but more of you will understand. This is why I want to help change the way artists’ personality types are perceived in the professional world (especially here in the US.) Artists need to be understood and structured with good intentions by our communities.

 

Me and a few of my smart friends have created a structure that will help artists better their lives and use their craft to become whole-souled and financially stable at the same time. All of you art lovers are in for a treat. Thank all of you who have shown me such adamant and amazing support. I have absolutely no complaints about my art career and it's been a blessing. I hope you all continue to support me, and all true artists. a little more about you.
